The Coalition for Children Affected by AIDS (the Coalition) began at the 2004 International AIDS Conference as a response to the lack of focus on children negatively affected by the epidemic. We understand the power of such events, which convene some of the greatest minds and most passionate advocates in global health. We not only target existing events, but have created our own in an effort to bring greater attention to children infected with and affected by HIV and AIDS. We also use these gatherings to identify solutions that will help these children, and their families, lead full, productive lives.
