Through research and guidance, the Coalition for Children Affected by AIDS (the Coalition) seeks to support and promote the implementation of the best evaluated programs to improve the lives of children and their families affected by HIV and AIDS.
We strive to provide those working directly with children and families in the epidemic with the resources they require to have the greatest effect. For example:
- In collaboration with an international working group, the Coalition launched a new tool and guidance to assist care workers in managing ethical dilemmas when providing services to children and families of the most stigmatized and marginalized populations.
- We produced a brochure, Healthy Parents, Healthy Children, Healthy Families, for community organizations to adapt and use with families affected by HIV and AIDS
- We produced a brochure for implementers, Now more than ever! – A need to reach the youngest children affected by HIV and AIDS, to help organizations integrate early childhood activities into their programming
